Image of the Week: Microscopic view of lung surfactant

This microscopic image of lung surfactant, a lipid-protein material that reduces surface tension in the lung and aids in proper pulmonary function, could easily be mistaken for a whimsical textile print. A recent issue of Biomedical Beat provides more information about the fanciful designs represented in the image and how they may offer insights into developing new methods for drug delivery:

Using microscopy techniques, the researchers captured a snapshot of the changes that occur (black) when surfactant molecules are stressed by carbon nanoparticles. The scientists found that if inhaled, carbon nanoparticles could influence the function of the main lipid component of surfactant. A likely gateway for nanoparticles to enter the body is through the lungs, so this and future studies may help scientists improve drug delivery methods.

I like this song very much compared to his other songs. It has a sweet melody that I want to play with a violin especially the chorus. I have been trying to find this song he sung in the mini concert he had in his movie “Love in Disguise” and at last I found it. Kyaaa !!!! lovelove it! :)

That last hug. That last kiss. That last look. That last wave. Each of them is very important when you are leaving someone you love, especially if it could be the last time you see them for awhile. But the last word, that one last message, is precious. You try to make it pleasant … you try to make it memorable … you try to make it affectionate … but most of all, you want your one last word to count!

The Great Commission is Jesus’ last earthly message to his disciples in the Gospel of Matthew. While Jesus still leads and guides, this is the message he wants his disciples to remember as his parting command. This is his final message. He stresses emphatically that it is based upon his authority over everyone and everything and everywhere. What is that message? GO MAKE DISCIPLES!

Notice Jesus doesn’t want us running all over the place telling about him. Notice he doesn’t just want us baptizing everyone we see. Notice he doesn’t just want us to teach others to follow him. He wants us to do all three! Go, baptize, and teach to obey so they will be my disciples, too! If we heed these marching orders, if we get out of the shadow of our church buildings and culture, he will go with us! That’s it. That’s Jesus’ one last word. It’s also our first word!

Thanks be to the gracious Lord that he has covered the price for the wages of sin -which is death- and that price was His own precious blood that cleanses us and tells us that He loves us so much that even resulted to His death. But His resurrection promises life to those who believe in Him. And those who believe and receives the gift of life are like the buyer who brags about it and tells everyone, ” I’ve got someone who paid the price for me and that is Jesus! You should have him pay for you, too!”

I’m making this like a blog. Sometimes people like me need an outlet of my feelings. Facebook is way too much stressful for me, it’s like I’m going to have a narcissistic attitude like -

Oh, would there be people liking my post- then I go check the notif area everyday. and another one - I control my post like this and like that so that other people might see this or that. Ugggh.

( Sorry I’m not that open to other people -which is the result of thinking too much what they might think about me. But I’m still trying to get over that issue of mine and I like conversing with them If they feel like it. I need more practice in conversations since I myself am not a conversant or the one who initiates conversations that why my speech level I think is low. There are times when I speak that people thought I was angry- it is just my normal way of speaking- so you see, that person who didn’t converse with me for a long time thought I was speaking angrily but I’m really not. That’s the result when people lack interaction with each other. Haha )

So back to the issue- you see that’s why I’m becoming a narcissist. That’s why I disabled my account and I don’t know when to come back. I’m fasting for FB and maybe sooner for everything that is considered online.

Why is there no share button on tumblr for google? (This question is far out)

Haha. I feel funny talking to myself. If you ever read this you’d be considered lucky for knowing more about me. : )

I rid off my self one social site which is Facebook. I wonder how long can I keep myself from it. I need other sites which I could express myself freely. I feel so stressed in FB in which to much info from other people barge in your mind then your mind takes a drift somewhere else for a long time and then I haven’t enough time to think philosophical things which could benefit myself. Haha. Is this selfishness?I think not. I’m practicing to have a sound mind and body and I prefer to meet the actual person in the ‘friend’ list that I have. It is crazy to think you call them friends when they really aren’t personally. This is the downfall of social sites wherein the virtually capable person becomes incapable in the real world. I hope not to become like that. Waaah. I don’t know if what I’m saying is right but this is something I thought for myself.
